Strega Nona by Tomie dePaola is an absolutely delightful children’s book that follows the wise and kind-hearted Strega Nona, a witch who uses her magical powers to help the people in her village.
dePaola’s use of color and detail is masterful, and his beautiful illustrations really bring the story to life. Children will love poring over each page to discover new things.
What we love most about this book is its message of kindness and generosity. Strega Nona is always willing to help those in need, and she does so with a smile and a kind heart. It’s a wonderful lesson for children (and adults!) to learn, and one that will stick with them for years to come.
